July 22 State Supervisors (Unit S) Bargaining Session

On Tuesday, July 22, the AFSCME Maryland Supervisors Union had its third bargaining session with the State of Maryland.

In this session, we made significant progress towards a Tentative Interim Agreement for Unit S (state supervisors) that will protect and expand our workplace rights. We have reached agreement on at least 35 articles in the agreement and are continuing to make further progress on the remaining sections.

We believe that in the coming weeks, we will be able to finalize this interim agreement with the State of Maryland. And as we look ahead, our union siblings in Units A, B, C, D, F, and H will also be entering contract negotiations around economic issues this fall.

We have come a long way, but we will continue to fight for more. Our next bargaining session is this Wednesday, July 30.
